I don't think it's appropriate to call this guy a "mini" actually. This model does the BBEG of the Catharan Desert justic.
Sand dragons are among the most feared and revered denizens of the Anaran and Catharan deserts. To the Anaran tribes, they are sacred beings, believed to be the servants of Anara and Cathara themselves. These creatures seem to be composed of living sand, for what was nothing more than a dune moment before may rise before you in the form of a massive dragon with muscle composed of living sand beneath an invisible skin.
Despite their name, these creatures are not dragons at all but sand elementals that learned to assume the form of dragons as a survival adaptation, exploiting the ancestral terror the Keshites associate with dragons due to their connection with Apep. Fear, it turns out, is an excellent shield.
